*Many Koreans don't say 실례합니다. Instead, they use 죄송하지만.. 죄송합니다만.., or 미안하지만.. instead of 실례합니다.

 


 

To apologize

죄송해요. joe-song-hae-yo semi-casual
미안해요./미안합니다. meean-hae-yo/meean-hamnee-da semi-casual
미안해./잘못했어. meean-hae/jal-motte-sseo casual
*죄송하다. is used to express one's apology to people who's older or higher position than the speaker. 미안하다. is for a person of the same age or someone who's younger than the speaker. 잘못했어요. is more commonly used when you've done something wrong or made a mistake.
