불규칙 동사 Irregular verbs
ㄷ irregular
Some stems of ㄷ irregulars change to ㄹ when a suffix begins with a vowel.
Here are some examples.

| 걷다. to walk | 걷습니다. | 걸어요. (걷→걸) |
These are the ㄷ ending verbs that do not change the stems whether the suffix begins with a vowel or a consonant.

ㄹ irregular
The conjugation ㄹ drops out from the stem when a suffix begins with ㄴ, ㅂ, or ㅅ.

| 밀다. to push | 밉니다. (밀→미) | 밀어요. | 미는 (밀→미) | 미세요. (밀→미) |
| 빌다. to beg | 빕니다. (빌→비) | 빌어요. | 비는 (빌→비) | 비세요. (빌→비) |
| 열다. to open | 엽니다. (열→여) | 열어요. | 여는 (열→여) | 여세요. (열→여) |
ㅂ irregular
When a suffix begins with a vowel, ㅂ changes to either 우 or 오 for some cases.

| 돕다. to help | 돕습니다. | 도와요. (돕→도오)+아요.) |
Some ㅂ endings are not irregulars.

ㅅ irregular
ㅅ of the stem disappears when a suffix begins with a vowel.

Some ㅅ irregulars don't change the stem.

르 irregular
When a suffix begins with -어/아요. '으[ㅡ]' of the stem '르' is deleted, and ㄹ is inserted.

| 흐르다. to flow | 흐릅니다. | 흘러요. (흐르+어요. = 흘+(ㄹ)+어요. = 흘러요.) |
| 가르다. to divide | 가릅니다. | 갈라요. (가르+아요. = 갈+(ㄹ)+아요. = 갈라요.) |
| 지르다. to yell/set fire to | 지릅니다. | 질러요. (지르+어요. = 질+(ㄹ)+어요. = 질러요.) |
Some 르 endings are regular.

으 irregular
